A lifetime Catholic, he was a member of Immaculate Conception church in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his Sister: Odelia Crespin; nephew; Robbie sanchez; great-niece: Jasmmine Garcia. He is survived by his wife: Donella G. Sanchez of Las Vegas, NM; sons: Bernie Sanchez III and wife Liz; Filomeno Sanchez and wife Amanda all of Las Vegas, NM; daughter: Amanda Sanchez and husband Alex of Las Vegas, NM; son: Ernest Sanchez of Louisianna; parents: Bernabe and Clemencia Sanchez of Las Vegas, NM; brother: Bobby Sanchez of Las Vegas, NM; 4 grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Louie Mares and family; Paul and Paulene and family; David and Ernestine and family; father-in-law: Dan Mares numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 9:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father C John Brasher as Celebrant. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM. Serving as Casket Bearers will be: Raymond Sanchez, Jeffrey Sanchez, Mark Baca, Leroy Encinias, Fermin Padilla and Alex Crowell.
