Dawson- Edward S Dawson died at his home in Drexel, Mo. Monday, Feb. 7, He was born in Shenandoah county, Virginia, March 11, 1828.
In 1859 he married Martha Wall. Mr. Dawson served three years in the Civil war and afterward came to Kansas with his wife and four small children. Later seven more children were born.
Mr. and Mrs. Dawson settled on a farm near Beliview, Miami county, where they lived 31 years.
In 1903 they moved to Drexel. Mr. and Mrs. Daw. son had been married over 61 years and he had been a member of the Methodist church 50 years. He is survived by his wife and eight children.
Burial was in the Sharon cemetery Tuesday, February 8.
