Geraldine "Jerry" Couch, 94, passed away on August 28, 2011 in Houston, Texas.

Jerry was born in Delta, Colorado on June 11, 1917, the ninth of ten children born to Charles and Ada Dorsey. She went to Oklahoma with her sister in 1930 to help move her family to Bristow. Jerry met and married Frank E. Couch in 1939 while living in Bristow. Frank served in the United States Navy from 1941 – 1946. After the war, they returned to Oklahoma City where Frank worked in the oil business. They moved to Ardmore in 1951 and began Couch Oil Company. Jerry was a homemaker and after raising three daughters, she worked actively in the business with her husband. Jerry was a woman of many talents, but her greatest passions were her family and working in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank E. Couch, three brothers, and six sisters. She is survived by her three daughters, Jane Couch, Franklin, New York; Sally Couch Burk and her husband Larry Burk, Berlin, Germany; Nancy Couch and her husband John Turner, Houston, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Friends are invited to visitation with the family on Thursday, September 1st from seven until eight o'clock in the evening at Craddock Funeral Home, 525 South Commerce in Ardmore. Burial services will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday, September 2nd at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Jerry's name be directed to Sunshine Industries, Inc., P. O. Box 1729, Ardmore, Oklahoma 73402, or to a favorite charity.
