Services for Warren King, 59, of 35500 Moravian, Clinton Township, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the VerHeyden Funeral Home, 16300 Mack at Outer Drive, Grosse Pointe.

Mr. King died Saturday at Saratoga Hospital in Detroit, after a long illness.

He was the president and founder of the Superior Polishing Co., and operated two plants in Warren, one at Nine Mile Road and the other at Ten Mile Road and Dequindre.

Born Dec. 25, 1908 in Spencerville, Ohio, Mr. King lived in Michigan for 35 years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2437; the Moose Lodge 1162 and an associate member of the Macomb County Presecutor's Association.

Mr. King is survived by his wife, Gean [sic] R.; a son, Richard W. of Warren; two brothers, Oscar of Utica and Raymond of Auburn, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Bert (Elsie) Olmstead of Port Orange, Fla. and Mrs. Roy (Edith) Eynhart [sic] of Peru, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.

Another son, Harold, preceded Mr. King in death.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7 p.m. today until the time of service.

Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

The family requests that donations be sent to the Michigan Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
