Joseph Aaron Lees 82, of Weirton, WV passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at home with his family by his side.

He was born on February 20, 1929 in Wintersville, OH. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Elsie May Lees whom passed away on January 24, 2011. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Dryer.

Joseph was retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked as a pipefitter. He was also a self-employed Painter. He was a WWII veteran of the Army. He was past commander of the V.F.W. in Weirton and a member of the Weirton Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge.

He is survived by four children, William Lees and Daniel Lees both of St. Petersburg, FL; Teresa Lees and Catherine Lees both of Follansbee, WV. One Sister, Joan Lees of Detroit,MI Two Grandchildren, Rachael (Mark) Weide and Danielle (Greg) Lamoree Two Great Grandchildren, Kaden James Lamoree and Conner Alan Lees Younciak A special friend Mary Ruth Morris and her Anderson Home family

Friends will be received on Monday, August 15th from 1-3 & 6-8 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV where services will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 11:00 A.M. with Jonathan Absher, minister officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson Home at PO Box 343 Follansbee, WV 26037.
