Bob was born in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of Raymond Collins and Jennie (Pruim). He went to Muskegon High School and served his country with the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War in 1951-1954. He married Patricia Ann Brooks, daughter of Dalton Brooks and Helen (Turnyansky), on July 24, 1954.
He worked at Grabrow Distributing Company and enjoyed league bowling. He died as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three daughters, Jean, Frances, and Cheryl; three sons, Mark, Timothy, and Anthony; his father, Raymond Collins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother.
