BETHANY - Lawrence E. Abraham, 90, of Bethany died 5:35 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 4, 2001) in Moweaqua Nursing Home.

Mr. Abraham was born April 7, 1910, in Shelby County, the son of Ross and Nema Primmer Abraham. He was a retired farmer, former Shelby County supervisor for 12 years and a former chief of police in Assumption. He married Dorothy D. Myers Feb. 19, 1930, in Shelby County. She preceded him in death Aug. 19, 1981.

Surviving are his daughter, Marilyn Vilmure and husband Bob of Shelbyville; son-in-law, Ed Snow of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brother, Blaine Abraham of Findlay; grandsons, Robert Vilmure and wife Brenda of Bethany; Dan Vilmure and wife Barbara of Argenta; Tom Snow of Champaign; Terry Snow of Scottsdale; granddaughters, Jo Beth Marshall and husband Brett of Bethany; Susan Enz and husband Todd of Argenta; Jill Smelzer of Algonquin; eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sister, Opal B. Atkinson and daughter, Eleanor L. Snow.
