Martin N. Daniel passed away suddenly at age eighty-two.
"Marty", beloved husband of Joan, devoted father to Kimberly Kaplan (Steven) and Gregg Daniel (Leslie Davis), cherished grandfather of Madeline and Gillian Kaplan, brother of Jerome Daniel (Darlene), and brother-in-law to Mina Brown.
First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Practiced law in Los Angeles for fifty years and upon retirement did pro bono work for the LA Court System as a volunteer mediator.
He was an active member of CASA (court appointed special advocate), an organization which helps the children's court work with displaced children.
Marty loved the ocean and sailing, and was a member and former officer of Del Rey Yacht Club. He was currently serving as president of his homeowner's association.
We will all miss his great sense of humor, devotion to family and friends, and love of life.
Funeral services will be held at Mount Sinai Simi Valley on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
