Richard J. Angeloff, 80, of West Deer, died Friday, March 25, 2011, in UPMC Passavant, McCandless.

He was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Camden, Ark., and had lived in West Deer most of his life.

A furnace operator and then shipping/receiving person, he worked for Concast Metals, formerly Roessing Bronze, of Mars for more than 35 years.

He was a member of St. Victor Roman Catholic Church, Masonic Lodge 716 of North Hills and the Shriners of Cheswick. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joan (Santi) Angeloff; sons, Richard D. (Gretchen) Angeloff, of Hampton, and Mark R. (Holly) Angeloff, of West Deer; his daughter, Leslie S. Angeloff, at home; grandchildren, Adam O'Hare, Scott and Sarah Angeloff, and Joy Short and Noel Galuschik; and brothers, George and Nick (Alda) Angeloff, both of West Deer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary (Palace) Angeloff; his daughter, Geraldine M. O'Hare; sister, Mary Habucky; and his brother, Carl Angeloff, who was killed in action during World War II.

At Mr. Angeloff's request, all viewing, services and burial were private.

Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania & Southern West Virginia Inc., The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant St., 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 19219-1916.
