Robert Wilson Trapp was born February 18, 1923, to Arthur Trapp & Alma Helton Trapp Wilson. His father, Arthur, died in 1932, leaving Alma to care for Robert, his older brother Newell, younger brother Doyle, and sister Claudine. A few weeks later, in order to keep her family together, Alma married John Wilson, and eventually they had two more children, Martina Wilson Tinney Holt, and Vyron Wilson.
Robert served in the Army in W.W.II and married Verna Raye Snyder in 1946. They had five children: Robert A. Trapp, R. Lynn Trapp, Glenda Trapp Wardrup, Carryl Trapp, and Darryl Trapp.
Robert died in Amarillo, Texas, from complications of peripheral and coronary artery disease.
