Major League Baseball Player. Born in London, Ohio, he was a leftfielder making his debut on September 5, 1908, with the Cincinnati Reds. For eleven seasons, he played with the Cincinnati Reds (1908-13), New York Giants in 1914, St. Louis Cardinals (1915-17) and Cleveland Indians in 1918. He ended his career with a record of 1171 hits, 749 runs scored, 28 home runs, 345 runs batted in, a .258 batting average and a .960 fielding percentage. He died at age 58 in London, Ohio.
