Not beauty, youth, nor friends fond love could save
The lovely victim from the cruel grave.
Like a fair flower that faids in earliest bloom
In life's bright morn she meet her early tomb.

Oh! fare the well, dearest-thy spirit though gone
Shall live in this desolate bosom alone.
Till it burst in the splendor of weakness forgiven
And Glorious shine in the lustre of heaven.
