Henry County Democrat, Clinton MO, Thursday, Feb 10 1881 - Died at his late residence on Water street, Clinton, Henry county, Mo., Tuesday, Feb. 8th, 1881, of heart disease, John Philip Baugh, aged 52 years, 4 months and 28 days. Deceased was born in Germany, Sept. 10, 1822 (sic), and came to America with his parents when only two years old. He was married in 1853 and settled in Montgomery county, Pennsylvania, where he resided with his family till 1877, when they came and settled in Clinton, where he has resided an honored and respected citizen for three years. He was preceded to the spirit land only six months, by his oldest son, Philip. He leaves a loving almost heart broken wife and one son to mourn his death.
