Harry Brandt

Elizabeth, Ill., Feb 25--Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday for Harry Brandt, 42, well-known Elizabeth farmer, who died in a Freeport hospital about 5:30 Wednesday afternoon. He had been ill for the past two years and a patient at the hospital for the past month. Death was caused by heart trouble and other ailments.
The last rites will be held at the farm home, four miles north of this city, at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, and at Zion Lutheran church in Schapville at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. A. T. Buckler, will have charge of the services and at the grave in the Schapville Lutheran cemetery.
Harry Brandt, the son of Frederick and Dorothy (Buhse) Brandt, was born in Woodbine township Dec. 8, 1901, and always resided on the farm which he had operated for several years. He received his education in the rural schools of that locality.
On Jan. 30, 1924, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Bohnsack of Schapville, who survives as do three children, Eldon, Lenora and Hilda, all at home. He also leaves four brothers, Henry, of Dundee, Ia., Ernest and August, who reside in Montana, and Charles, of Elizabeth, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Dotzel and Mrs. Henry (Minnie) Hoppe, both of Elizabeth. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Brandt was a member of the Zion Lutheran church at Schapville, just north of his home, for the greater part of his life. He had always been engaged in farming.

NOTE:
The Obituary lists Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Dotzel and Mrs. Henry (Minnie) Hoppe. I believe they are mixed up---Elizabeth is Mrs. Henry Hoppe and Minnie is Mrs. Henry Dotzel.
