Born July 9, 1920, in Manheim Twp., York Co. she was the daughter of the late Luther Cleveland and Johanna (Smith) Haines.
Mrs. Bankert was employed with Middleburg Manufacturing of Hanover for 26 years.
Kathryn was a member of St. Paul Dubs U.C.C. and enjoyed antiquing and going to sales.
Surviving are a son, Donald E. Bankert of Hanover; a sister, Edith M. Bowman of Hanover: and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Norman R., Charles H., and Luther B. Haines; and three sisters, Mildred E. Unger, Florence A. Miller, and Helen M. Calp.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Kathryn Bankert will be, July 19, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Dubs Union Church, Hanover, with the Rev. Larry M. Estepp officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Dubs Cemetery, Hanover.
