Ola Faye Coonce, 93, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the home of her niece, of natural causes.

She was born August 13, 1914 in Montrose, Missouri to Oscar and Lillian York Fenimore.

On September 26, 1958, Ola married J. Ray Coonce in St. Augustine, Florida. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1996.

Ola had only one child, Cora Dee McDowell. Cora passed away October 5, 2003.

Ola was a faithful and active member of the Roy Christian Church.

Through her years she had many occupations including the Rock Island Railroad, owned two motels, one in Kansas City, Missouri and the other in Roy, Utah. She also worked for Russell Stover's Candy Co.

She was an avid golfer and had two holes-in-one in her lifetime. The first one was on March 10, 1963 at Riverside Golf Course, the second was in September of 1984 where she was the first woman to record a hole in one at the new Mount Ogden Golf Course. She was a bowler and was a member of the Ladies Elks Club in Roy, Utah and the Cosmopolitan Club of Ogden..

Surviving are three grandchildren, Scott (Kelley), John (Nancee), Melissa (Kirk); five great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren and her very special nephew, Oscar Maxey, and her very special niece, Ola Maryan (John) McFarland and many other nieces and nephews.

Ola was preceded in death by her parents, identical twin sister, Ona, brother, Ward, sister, Lucille and her husband and daughter.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet friends on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
