Sara Ann Bailey (Ann) was born in 1842 in Alabama, the daughter of Reubin Ezekiel and Ailcey Bailey.
Her first husband, Mills Farmer, died during the Civil War.  They had one daughter, Josephine (Josie) who later married Jerome Curry.
L. C. Cannon and Ann were married December 16, 1866 in Henry Co., Al.  Their children were Wesley, William, Mary Lillian, Ailcey Matilda, and John Lewis.  They came to Houston County, Texas in 1880 and settled in the Kennard area where L.C. and Ann farmed and raised a family. Ann died in 1920 in Kennard, Houston County, Texas; she is buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery next to her husband, L.C. Cannon.
