RICHARDSON, Texas - A man suspected of drunken driving was arrested over the weekend after he killed a woman walking through a parking lot.
According to the Richardson Police Department, 29-year-old Louis Daitch lost control of his pickup truck just before 8 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of West Arapaho Road.
He drove into a parking lot and hit two pedestrians, 62-year-old Geraldine Pulejo and 68-year-old Barbara Benson, police said.
Both women were taken to the hospital. Although Benson was treated and released, Pulejo died from her injuries. Daitch was not hurt.
