Lethia Loretta Hill was born to Joseph Benjamin Hill and Audrey Caraway Hill. She was the third born of the six children they would have. She was always called Loretta by the family.
About 20 years ago, I found a very old picture in some of my mother's things and asked her who it was. She told me it was her baby sister, Loretta. I never knew she existed until I saw the photograph. Mother said that Loretta died when she was only a few years old, choking on a piece of ice, as she remembers. My mother was only about 3 years old when Loretta died.
Loretta died while the family was on a trip to visit other family members in Plant City, Florida. She was buried there.
The photographs I have posted here are the only two pictures known to exist of Loretta.
