Entertainer, Singer. She was a director and producer of theater and television programs, and was the first female director of a television channel in Argentina, the Channel 7 in Buenos Aires. She began working as librarian in the Argentine-American Cultural Institute (ICANA). Later she decided to start singing, which enabled her to act continuously on the radio. In 1934 she competed in the singing contest for Radio Stentor and won singing "Stormy Weather". The radio entrepreneur Jaime Yankelevich offered a contract for sing tangos, but she chose to continue singing jazz. Urged by her father to go to the United States to study jazz, she lived there seven years, studying anthropology at Columbia University and becoming involved with the jazz music personalities likes of Marian Anderson, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald. She worked in theater, sang at the Tropicana and became a pioneer of television production in Argentina, where he created several important show as "Volver a vivir" and "Derecho a réplica", among others that she lead.
