Mrs. Doris Jean (Thompson) Hooks, 76 of Gautier, MS passed away September 1, 2009. She was born June 11, 1922 in Parks, AR. Mrs. Hooks was a homemaker and member of Martin Bluff Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton R. and Bygie S. Thompson; husband, Marvin Denver Hooks and son, Cecil Goldman Hooks.

Survivors include sons and daughters in law, Clifton (Jamie) Hooks and Clarence (Charlene) Hooks all of Gautier, MS, Clinton (Mary) Hooks of Lucedale, MS; daughter and son in law, Pamela (John) Cochran of Gautier, MS; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 4th at Martin Bluff Baptist Church in Gautier with Rev. Murphy Young officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Martin Bluff Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mrs. Hooks. Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS.
