SAMUEL KING
Samuel H. King died at the Larned hospital on April 2d, at the age of 50 years, 5 months and 25 days. The funeral services were held from the home of his cousin, Mrs. Willis Baker, last Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by Rev. C. A. Kitch, under the auspices of the Odd Fellows. Interment was in the Larned cemetery.
The deceased was born in Hart county, Ky., on Oct 7th,, 1862. He came to Kansas with his parents in 1887, settling at Burlingame. Later he moved to California, which has been his home for fourteen years, until two months ago he came to Larned to visit his father, John S. King, who has made his home with his niece, Mrs. Willis Baker, for the past ten years. While visiting here he was taken sick and taken to the hospital, where he died.
Besides his father, he is survived by five brothers and two sisters. Four of the brothers were present at the funeral, T. B. and Harry King of Kansas City, E. T. King of Lincoln, Ill., and L. S. King of Greeley, Colo.
