Ralph Eugene Crow, 83, Auburn, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011, at a Topeka Hospital. He was born September 14, 1927, at Overbrook, Kansas, the son of Kenneth R. and Neva G. Harris Crow. He grew up at Auburn, and graduated from Auburn High School. Mr. Crow was a Letter Carrier for the USPS, working out of the Gage Office, Topeka, Kansas, until he retired. He was a Life Member of the National Letter Carriers Association, a Life Member of the Auburn Lions Club, a member of the former Auburn Masonic Lodge, and one of the founding members of the Auburn Fire Department. He married Louise Quast, September 25, 1949, in Topeka, Kansas. She survives at the home. Other survivors include a son, Kevin Crow (Julie), Wakarusa, KS; two brothers, John Crow and Gerald Crow, both of Wakarusa, KS; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Aaron and Travis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Luke Carriger, and a son, Steve L. Crow, who died August 8, 1999. A graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, in Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, Kansas. Family visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, at Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Auburn Lions Club or the Auburn Fire Department, and sent c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.
