William G. Davidson, 98, died yesterday at Bernath's Nursing home where he had been a patient since it was built. Previously he had been a patient at Morris Sorenson Hospital and had lived in the valley off and on for a number of years, mostly with his son James P. Davidson.

Mr. Davidson was born in Rogersville, Tenn., November 19, 1861. He was married there to Martha Ellen Johnson in 1883 and came here in 1903. He subsequently moved back to Tennessee and to Ellensburg several times. His wife died here in 1919.

He is survived by his son, James P. Davidson of Ellensburg, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchilden as well as one niece, Mrs. Patt Strong of Ellensburg and a nephew, Homer G. Johnson of Seattle. His daughter-in-law, Mrs. James Davidson, cared for him many years before he was hospitalized.

Funeral services will be held at the Evenson Chapel, Thursday, February 25 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. N. W. Ion officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.
