Hodge, Dora – age 102 of Rutledge went to her eternal rest on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law where she had resided for the past 39 years. She was a great wife and a wonderful, loving mother and step-mother. She enjoyed her family, friends, and church. She was the oldest member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas Raymond Hodge, Sr.; parents, Morris and Mary Lusk, 4 brothers; 4 sisters; step-children, Kate Wade, Dixie Lovell, Bruce Hodge, and Nellie Cate. Survived by son, T. R. Hodge, Jr. and wife Bobbie; daughters, Barbara Harrell and husband Freddie, and Beverly Forrest Ramsey and husband Paul; step-son, Victor Hodge; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 54 great great grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; 56 step-great grandchildren; and 55 step-great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Satterfield, Rev. Mike Lee, and Rev. Freddie Chandler officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 PM Sunday at the funeral home and proceed to Hopewell Cemetery for a 2:00 PM interment. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
