Quilla married Hardy Olen Pollard (1902-1979) on Feb. 8, 1930, in Houston, TX. Two daughters, Kitty Sue Pollard Eastwood & Mary Frances Pollard Mears.

A memorial service for Quilla Herrington Pollard, 96, of Conroe, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Cliff Herrington officiating.

Mrs. Pollard was born Nov. 6, 1904, in Cherokee County, Texas, and passed away Dec. 17, 2000, in Conroe.

She is survived by daughters, Kitty Eastwood, and husband, Charles of New Orleans, La., and Frances Mears, and husband Norvall, of Conroe; sister, Kirby Adams of Jacksonville, Texas; grandchildren, Randy Mears of The Woodlands, Texas, Laura Morris of Santa Fe, Texas, Bob and Jeff Eastwood of Schriever, La.; 10 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to either First Baptist Church of Conroe Building Fund or The Crown of Texas Hospice of Conroe.
