Samuel Johnson died at the Home hospital yesterday morning at 2:30 o’clock from a complication of diseases. He came to the hospital from Clark’s Hill. He was seventy one years old and was a retired farmer. One son survives. Mr. Johnson was a man of excellent character and was held in high esteem. The remains were prepared for burial at the Evans Parlors and have been taken to Clark’s Hill where the interment will be made. (Oct 18, 1912)
