LAYTON – Our sweet mother, sister, and grandmother, 87, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 of a stroke at home with her family around her.
Born January 9, 1924 to Randle Eyre and Hessie May Jackson Wilcock in Parowan, Ut.
She married Fred Lilburn Chipp February 23, 1945. He passed away January 19, 1950. They had two children Sherlyn (Cookie) Perkins, Fred Lilburn Chipp Jr. (Butch).
She married Lawrence Thiel March 15, 1952. They had one son Lawrence Randle (Randy) Thiel. They later divorced.
Mom's first love was her family and the church. She was very active in the LDS church. She loved genealogy and family history which she did for 50 years. She did German extraction for 20 years, was a temple worker for 10 years, visiting teacher for 50 years. A member of the daughters of the pioneers, 47 years and a member Of Tops International. Marie also enjoyed being with the lunch bunch.
She was very healthy and active throughout her life. Mom was a hard worker.
She is survived by her children Cookie (Jack), Layton; Butch (Annabelle), Sunset; Randy (Gayle) Logandale, NV; brothers: Larry Randle Wilcock (Shirley), Tucson, AZ; Fredric Jackson Wilcock (Pam), Ogden; sister: Cathleen Orton, Sandy; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, first husband, twin Mark Jackson, brothers, Samuel Richard, Robert Jackson, sister, Virginia, great-great-grandson, Logan.
