Olive was fondly known as "Sissy" or "Sis"

When Olive was about 29 she developed a tumor on her neck and had to have it removed. The surgery disrupped blood circulation to the brain and she became paralized on her left side. During her recovery, she sent her young children to live with her husbands family. Her daughter Audrey went to live with Helen Ozella (Aunt Zell) who had no children of her own at the time. Orr Toliver (Uncle Tee) Green took the boys, Bernard and Dale. Olive's older sister Kitty came out from California to Arizona to help with her recovery. Grandma Olive would just lay in bed and let people take care of her. One time Kittie got so mad at Olive that made grandma raise her paralized arm and that's when the recovery began. Thanks to Kittie, Olive learned to take care of herself. After her husband John died, his brother "Uncle K" came and took everyone to California where they lived near Kittie and her husband Dallas near San Diego.
