Jeffrey L. "Jeff" Adams, 32, of Nantahala Community, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at the University of Tennessee Memorial Hospital.

A native of Swain County, he had lived in Macon County for most of his life. He was the son of Marcella Grant Adams Deal of Hickory, and the late John Henry Adams. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Brandon Grant of Andrews; his stepfather, Jerry Nelson Deal of Hickory; and two brothers, Dewayne Adams of Nantahala and Bobby Joe Adams of Hickory.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, with the Rev. Ron McClure and Warren Elliott officiating. Burial was in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Grant, Keith Owenby, Chris Passmore, Harold Garrett, Russell Hardin and David Morgan.

Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews in charge of all arrangements.
