James Madison Adair died suddenly of paralysis at his home in the south part of town Friday, aged 67 years. Rev. R.J. Margan conducted the funeral at the residence Saturday evening and interment was made in the Carnegie cemetery.
James Madison Adair was born in Kentucky August 27, 1855. He was married to Sarah Jane Cooper in 1876, and to this union eight children were born, six of whom with the mother survive. Mr. Adair professed religion when he was a young man and joined the Baptist church.
