Earl Nathan Spinner was born April 25, 1904 in Canistota, McCook Co., South Dakota to William A. & Millie M. (Banning) Spinner.
He moved with his family to the Miller, Hand Co., South Dakota area. They farmed in Alpha Township. His siblings were Florence, Mabel, and Gladys. In 1929, he married Kathleen (Tranter), daughter of Walter & Susan (Clarke) Tranter.
In 1935, Earl and Kathleen were living in Wolsey, Beadle Co., where he was working as a gas station operator. In the late 30's, they moved to Hidewood township, Deuel Co., South Dakota.
They lived in Clear Lake until their deaths.
