Doris L. Barton, 70, 1719 W. 15th St, died Friday in her home.
She was a lifelong resident of the Muncie area, and attended Muncie schools.
Mrs. Barton retired in 1978 from Essex International, formerly Warner Machine, where she had worked for 34 years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Eagles Lodge 231, and a member of the Women of the Moose 33.
Surviving are a son and a daughter-in-law, William and Linda Braton, Muncie; two brothers, Robert Hartley and Charles Hartley, both of Muncie; three sisters, Violet Tobey, Fern Clerk and Bonnie Joseph, all of Muncie; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her husband, Troy, a son, Jack, and a grandson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the mortuary are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
