Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Catherine Cone, 84, who died at her home here on Sunday morning following an illness of several months, were held at two o'clock Tuesday from the First Baptist Church with the pastor of that church, Rev. Ellis Turner and Rev. A.D. Finch, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was in Midway Cemetery in Thomas County, Ga., with a group of her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Cone was a native of Columbus, Ga., but had made her home here for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Cone of Monticello; three sons, Capt. W. W. Cone of Zephyrhills, Lester Cone of Daytona Beach, and W. I. Cone of Thomasville, Ga; four daughters, Mrs. Ione (Leland) Dawson of Daytona Beach, Mrs. Louise (Harry) Ricketson of Perry, Mrs. Lucille (C. G.) Langley of Thomasville and Miss Lorene Cone of Monticello; two sisters, Mrs. Offie Graves of Tallahassee and Mrs. Mary Christie of Cairo, Ga; two brothers, Earl and Jesse Byard, both of Columbus, Ga., nineteen grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
