CLOVIS, Calif. – Jacqui "Jacquelyn" Opal Gist Bray, 78, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at her home after a long illness. She was born on Feb. 21, 1932, in Itawamba County to Avos Harvey and Alva Marilla West Gist. A native of Mississippi, she had lived in California for the past 30 years. She was the former president and owner of P.M.I. Trucking Company in Beaumont, Calif. She was a member of the Elks Lodge for the past 11 years and a Baptist. She enjoyed going fishing, traveling and being with her family.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Butler Cemetery in Golden with the Rev. Horace Barnes officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one daughter, Jacqui B. Jensen of Tucson, Ariz.; one son, Ronald K. Jensen of Wonder Valley, Calif.; 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Bray; her parents; one son, James Avos Albert Jensen; and two sisters, Inez Turley (Cliff) and Christine Kidd.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Gist, Jimmy Gist, Bill Gist, Chris Gist, Cory Gist and Jerry Guess.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
