COLEHARBOR --- Services for Ema Bartz, 73, Coleharbor, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Underwood, with the Rev. Robert Behling officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She died Feb. 5, 1990, in the Garrison hospital.
Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood.
Erna Kempf was born Jan. 25, 1917, near Coleharbor. She married Robert Yager, Nov. 17, 1934, at Underwood. They farmed near Underwood. Mr. Yager died in 1952. She moved to Underwood. She married Hilbert Bartz, Sept. 15, 1955, at Underwood. They farmed near Coleharbor. Mr. Bartz died in 1978.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lauretta and Robert Oliver, Clayton, Calif.; one son, James, Coleharbor; four sisters, Rose Stark and Martha Steinwand, Garrison, Emma Crawford, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and Esther Hoover, Anaheim, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
