Crash Kills Pregnant Kelseyville Woman
A Kelseyville woman and her unborn child are dead and an Alameda man is in Lake County Jail on a felony drunk driving charge following a two-car crash north of of Lakeport Saturday Night.
Angie Alvarez, 19, died at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Sunday after being transferred from Lakeside Hospital.
Alvarez was seven-and-a-half-months pregnant, California Highway Patrol officers said.
In Custody at the Lake County Jail is Raymond Anthony Andrade, 25 of Alameda.
Officers said Andrade was northbound on Lakeshore Boulevard at 10:20 p.m. Sunday when he crossed the center line in his pickup, striking Alvarez's car head on.
Officers said the crash occurred 700 feet south of Miramonte County Road north of Lakeport.
Lakeport Fire Department crews had to cut Andrade out of his truck.
