ALEXANDRIA,IN--Evelyn E. Malicoat, 88, died Saturday at her residence after an extended illness.
Evelyn was born in Swayzee, IN, and was the daughter of Ben F. and Flossie E. (Brizendine) Phillips. On June 23, 1941, she married Paul R. Malicoat, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2010.
Evelyn was a homemaker all of her life, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary, both of Alexandria.
Surviving are three sons, Terry Malicoat of Alexandria, Charles Malicoat of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Michael (Pam) Malicoat of Marinette, Wisc.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Evelyn will be Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S. Park Ave., Alexandria, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Mifflyn officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Alexandria.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until the time of the services.
