Mrs. Acheson was born Feb. 18, 1877 in Iowa. As an infant she traveled by covered wagon with her parents to Rooks County, Kan., where she lived for many years. She married Butler Acheson Nov. 18, 1895 in Palco, Can. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was a member of a missionary society. They came to Caldwell in 1939 and moved to Nampa in 1940. Mr. Acheson died in 1953. A daughter, Jessie Shipley, died in 1942. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Kansas, Nampa, and later in Caldwell.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Holmes of Caldwell and Norva Cross of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
