Nellie Beardmore, 89, of N. Fort Myers passed away peacefully following a prolong illness Sunday, October 14, 2007. She was born in Beallsville, Ohio to Walter and Martha Bell Henthorn. In 1957 she moved to Florida with her husband and children.She was a member of the Gulf Coast Church of Christ and later attended N. Fort Myers Church of Christ.She was an avid writer of poetry. She wrote 2 books, "Come Walk With Me" and "Memories Linger On". She was a child caregiver for for 79 children over a span of 29 years. She loved to bake for the entire neighborhood and she sent cookies to the soldiers in the Gulf War.She was a former employee of the Shell Factory and Yoder Brothers Flower Farm. She was a lovely wife, wonderful Mother and mother-in-law, neighbor and friend to many. She always had a kind word and willing to lend a helping hand. She was known for her continuous and beautiful smile, even in the rough times.Nellie is survived by her 4 children; Nora Inherst, Jerusalem, OH; Ila May Inherst (Floyd), Jerusalem OH; Patty Scheid (Ken), Burton, MI; Russell Beardmore (Teresa) N. Fort Myers, 1 sister, Pearl Roy, Flushing, OH, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Denzil H. Beardmore, 9 brothers and sisters and 1 son-in-law.A visitation will be held Friday, October 19th from 6-8 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. She knew her treasures was laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
