Services for Irene Alexander, 69, 204 N. Third St., are to be held Friday at 4 p.m. in the Denton Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Keele, Jr., Church of Christ, Midland, Texas, and Clark Johnson, Church of Christ, Lubbock, officiating. Burial is to be in the Sunset Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Sam Plumice, Elijah Foreman, Harley Gadbury, Carl Brannon, George Schrock and Calvin Wedgeworth.
She was born June 18, 1919, in Hollis, Okla., and grew up in the Turkey-Dodson area in Texas, attending Turkey High School. Prior to moving to Carlsbad in 1949, she lived in Robstown, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Lynn Alexander, Lubbock; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Pritchard, Carlsbad; one sister, Polly R. Fernandez; and two grandchildren.
