A tall thin man, he was a retired railroad conductor with the Georgia Railroad and traveled back and forth from Augusta and Atlanta daily. He loved to have an adult beverage but had to hide it from his wife. Always had time for tall tale and his family...Never had any kids. He was adopted and raised around Crawfordville, Ga. His first wife was named Annie Pearl, I do not know if Pearl was her maiden name or middle name. The were divorced in 1923. I have his divorce papers, it only cost him $70.
