Loretta Kay Otteni, 57, of Peach Blossom Lane, Albion, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at her residence after a long illness. She was born in Armstrong, Pa., daughter of Iva Rupp Mauk of Erie and the late Thomas Mauk.
Before her illness, she was a waitress in the west Erie County area for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and shopping. She was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Mauk.
Survivors include a son, Sidney Otteni of Edinboro; two daughters, Sherri Lynn Myers and her husband, Robert Barley, of McKean and Pamela Everhart and her husband, Robert, of Albion; two sisters, Lillian Gearhart and her husband, Robert, and Yvonne Sargent and her husband, Charles, all of Albion; a brother, Thomas Mauk and his wife, Judy, of Virginia; eight grandchildren [Joey Otteni]; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Samuel J. Steff Funeral Home, 188 East State St., Albion, where a service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fred Poeppel, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Albion Cemetery.
