COCHRAN - Mr. Dewey M. Brown, 74, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 2P.M. at First Baptist Church of Cochran with Rev. Jim Harrison and Rev. Lane Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. -Mr. Brown was born on November 8, 1936, in Davisboro, GA to the late Hollifield Milus Brown and Jesse Lee Henry Brown. Mr. Brown proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church of Cochran. -Mr. Brown was retired as supervisor of Middle Georgia Management Services after working in the loan industry for 41 years. -He was the former Chief Magistrate Judge of Bleckley County, was a member and past President of Uchee Trail Country Club and was a founding member of the Uchee Trail Men's Golf Association. -Mr. Brown's memory will be cherished by son and daughter in law, Gary and Sandi Brown of Cochran, GA ; daughter and son in law, Kelly Brown and Phillip Malcom of Milledgeville, GA; four grandchildren, Chad Brown and Kyle Brown of Cochran, Danielle Mantay of Lake City, FL and Erin Milicevic of Milledgeville, GA, and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his twin sister, Doris Martin, of Haddock, GA and a special nephew, Wade (Kayren) Brown of Sandersville, GA. -The family may contacted at the residence of Gary and Sandi Brown at 140 Cherokee Trail and will greet friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
