Jack D Durrett, 68, died Monday morning September 23, 1963 in the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. Mr. Durrett served in the U. S. Army during World War I.
Mr. Durrett united in marriage to Miss Kate Estes who preceded him in death on March 6, 1932. To this union were born two daughters: Mrs. Elaine Brenton, Indianapolis, Indiana and Mrs. Frances Roy, Liberty, Kentucky.
He later united in marriage to Miss Ida Milby on Sept. 6, 1932 and to this union was born three sons: J. D. Durrett, Jr., Bobby Durrett, both of Greensburg and Donald Durrett who is stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas with the U. S. Army.
Other survivors are three brothers: James, O. T. and Levi Durrett all of Greenburg; a sister Mrs. Tom Milby of Greensburg and four grandchildren
Services were held Wednesday, September 25, at 2: 00 p.m. at the Oak Forrest Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in the Wilson Cemetry. Rev. V. A. Jones officiated.
Pallbearers were Raven Milby, Hyman Durrett, Finis Durrett, Leonard Durrett, Arlene Estes and Eudell Durrett.
