CIVIL WAR VETERAN, DIES

UNION CITY -- Randolph county's last surviving Civil war veteran, David S. Moist, 101 years old, died Tuesday morning at the house of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Lasler, 102 North Howard street. Mr. Moist had been in failing health the past two years. He had resided in Union City 84 years, and was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are the daughter with whom he lived, Mrs. Lasler; a son, Fred Moist; a granddaughter, Mrs. Frank DeBolt.
