At 7 o’clock Saturday morning occurred the death of John Bowen, of Lauramie township, after a lingering illness with consumption. His death has long been expected. He was a member of Salem, M. E. church and lived a Christian life. He was an exemplary young man and his death has caused many a sad heart. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon with interment at Salem cemetery.
