Donnie Perkins,

76, of Cynthiana, Ky. Died Wed., April 6, 2011, at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 29, 1934, in Harrison County, Ky. To the late Wilbur and Zella Jones Perkins. He was a retired farmer and factory worker and member of the Wagoners' Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Perkins was an honorably discharged Marine Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Snapp and Loretta Perkins, two brothers, Lewis Perkins and Paulie Perkins, two brothers in law, Harold Coy and William Fryman, a special grandson, Junior Perkins and granddaughter, Jamie Jo-Lynn Whitaker.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Fryman Perkins, three sons, Gerald (Debra) Perkins, Flatwoods, Ky.
Donald (Becky) Perkins and Jeff (Pam) Perkins, of Cynthiana, . Two daughters, Cindy Perkins, Cynthiana, and Lisa (Jimmy) Foster, New Orleans, La. Three brothers, Richard (Helen) Perkins, David (Phyllis) Perkins, of Cynthiana, Darrel (Barb) Perkins, Sadieville, one sister, Virginia Coy, Cynthiana,
Brother in law, Lowell D. Fryman, Nicholas Co. Sisters in law, Virginia Perkins, Williamstown and Vivian Fryman, Cynthiana. 13 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 17 Great grandchidlren. Several nieces and nephews and a special niece Linda Sexton.
Services will be conducted 1 PM Monday, April 11, 2011, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Nurses Registry or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Pallbearers were, Willie Riggle, Gerald Perkins, Tommy Reed, Patrick Covert, Josh Barker, Daniel Perkins, Curtis Perkins and Kevin Perkins.
