Born in the Appalachian Mts of Virginia the son of a farmer, he loved to fish, tinker with cars and run the hills. He grew tired of digging post holes, so he joined the Air Force, saw the world from France to Okinawa, married an "Okie" from Muskogee and had 3 sons before retiring a Master Sergeant to Tennessee. He loved his family, his Church, his Country, and died too young.
