Mrs. Leila Todd Johnson, 88, widow of John Leslie Johnson, died early Tuesday morning in the Winyah Extended Care Center. She had been in declining health for the past three months.

Funeral services were Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. J.M. Kirkland. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery Annex.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Horry County on Oct. 31, 1889, the daughter of the late Cornelius Benjamin and Mrs. Susan Jane Blanton Todd. She had lived in Georgetown most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Eulie J. Lawrimore and Mrs. Rochelle J. Dusenbury, both of Georgetown, Mrs. Othello Jane J. Walter of Bamberg; one son, James L. Johnson of New Rochelle, N.Y.; four sisters, Mrs. Aubrey Jackson of Green Sea, Mrs. C.D. Johnson of Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. A.P. Cox of Macon, Ga. and Mrs. L.H. Edgeworth of Scranton; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
